Gardner Historic Gullah Neighborhood

Gardner, tucked between the Marshland and Spanish Wells neighborhoods, is located along Broad Creek.

• Gardner takes its name from March Gardner, a Gullah man who purchased a large tract of land in the area.
• Gardner is home to some of the largest Gullah extended families on Hilton Head Island.
• The Pinefield Otter Hole Cemetery is located in this community.
