The Town provides 64 miles of public pathways and nature trails for the enjoyment of pedestrians and cyclists. Check out our pathways maps below to navigate around the island.

Prefer something other than asphalt beneath your feet and wheels?

At low tide, enjoy the coastline along 12 miles of the world's finest beach. Public beaches are accessed via the beach parks highlighted on the pathway map.

Private Development Pathways

There are more than 50 miles of pedestrian, bicycle pathways and shared roadways within private developments for the use of the residents and guests within their communities. Please contact the individual developments security office regarding their policy for entering and exiting their community.

Pathway Regulations

Prohibited examples include but are not limited to:

* Exceptions are electric-powered wheelchairs, emergency vehicles, class1 and class 2 electric bikes (e-bikes), and authorized maintenance vehicles.

Night-time Bicycle Requirements

Since most pathways are NOT illuminated, bicycles must have a red rear reflector and a headlight if biking at night.

If you must ride at night, please plan ahead and remember a flash light and wear appropriate clothing.
