The Hilton Head Island Fire Rescue Department offers First Aid, CPR and AED training to the public with American Heart Association certified instructors. There is no charge for classes, only for the certification cards.
The Heartsaver CPR /AED course teaches how to recognize and treat cardiac arrest and choking for adult, child and infant victims. Students will also learn how and when to use an automated external defribrillator (AED).
Certification Card - $23
Students may take CPR or CPR / AED online through the American Heart Association at www.onlineaha.org. Select Heartsaver CPR/AED online part 1) and then be tested on their skills. You must bring a copy of your certificate of completion.
Students may take First Aid on line through the American Heart Association at www.onlineaha.org. Select Heartsaver First Aid part 1) and then be tested on their skills. You must bring a copy of your certificate of completion.
Students may take a combination class of CPR , AED and First Aid through the American Heart Association at www.onlineaha.org. Select Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Online Part 1 and then be tested on their skills. You must bring a copy of your certificate of completion.
CPR for friends and family teaches how to recognize and treat cardiac arrest and choking victims. There is no certification card for this class.
