Site Development

English | Español

Whether your project involves building construction, or only site improvements, you most likely will need a Development Plan Review approval.

The Site Development Process

A Project Manager will be assigned to guide you through the entire process and be your point of contact for any questions.

Step 1. Pre-Application Meeting

We strongly recommend that you attend a free Pre-application Meeting for your project. The meeting is an informal discussion of the project with staff to provide comments, suggestions and/or concerns from Town departments that will review your application.

Step 2. Your Project Manager

A Project Manager will be assigned to your project as early as possible to guide you through the process and be your main point of contact. Their role is to be an 'advocate' for the development in moving through review, approval and construction as seamlessly and as efficient as possible.

Step 3. Your Role

Your role is to submit the necessary items and communicate with your Project Manager on any revisions to your plans.

Step 4. Application, Plan Review and Approval - What it all means

The Project Manager determines if you need any of the following:

Upon receipt of your application, you will be contacted within 10 days for any necessary revisions prior to approval.

  • All staff comments for Develpoment Plan Review and Subdivision applications will be provided to the applicant.
  • The quicker you return any revisions to your plans back to staff, the quicker you can receive your site approval.
  • Your Project Manager also advises you on the timing for any subsequent building permit.
