Fire Station Six

Station Six is located near the entrance to Palmetto Dunes.

This station opened in 2014.

Apparatus

• Engine-6 - 2008 Spartan/Crimson Pumper
• Medic-6 - 2019 Frasier Ambulance on a Ford F-450 Chassis
• Truck-6 - 2017 Spartan/LTI Tiller with a 110 foot Aerial
• Hazmat-2 – 2007 E-One Custom Hazmat

Staffing

• Station Six has a minimum daily staffing of seven firefighters.
• This station operates a cross-staffed model where all three personnel respond on either the engine for fire related calls or the medic unit for EMS calls.
  • When responding on an EMS call, the engine is placed out of service.
  • When responding on a fire related call, the medic unit is placed out of service.
• This station also houses the truck company with a minimum staffing of four personnel each day.
  • The truck company is responsible for responding Hazmat-2 if needed.
