Grinding of the Greens & Holiday Light Dropoff

Recycle natural Christmas trees, wreaths and holiday string lights after the holiday season. Recycling services will be available 24/7 at the following drop-off locations through January 19, 2025.

• Coligny Beach (Big Parking Lot) Paved area on the South Forest Beach Side
• Old Gullah Flea Market Site (Designated area of Highway 278 and Chamberlain Drive
• Recycling Center (Extra location for recycled lights only)

These trees will be ground into mulch for free use. Before dropping off any trees, check that all ornaments, lights, and garland are removed to ensure the resulting mulch is clean. When the grinding is complete, all are welcome to stop by and pick up free mulch starting January 20, until it is gone.
