Work on Pedestrian Safety Enhancements Starting on William Hilton Parkway in Northridge Area

Starting today, the Town of Hilton Head Island will proceed with work to enhance pedestrian safety on Willliam Hilton Parkway between Beach City and Dillon roads. 

The work will be completed by Oct. 31 and will involve resurfacing street approaches, replacing concrete curb ramps, and constructing center medians within William Hilton Parkway. 

The work will require some side road and driveway lane closures and minor turn lane closures on William Hilton Parkway during the day. It will also require some night-time lane closures and partial pathway closures at certain times. The work will affect the intersections of William Hilton Parkway with Gardner Drive, Palmetto Parkway, Northridge Drive, and Northridge/Sea Turtle Marketplace entrances.
