Nightly Lane Closures on U.S. 278/William Hilton Parkway and Flagging Operations Scheduled for August 27-29

The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) has planned nightly lane closures along U.S. 278 (Fording Island Road/William Hilton Parkway) from Tuesday, August 27th, through Thursday, August 29th. These closures are necessary for SCDOT’s soil boring contractor, S&ME, to collect vital soil data for the engineering design of the William Hilton Parkway Gateway Project.

The lane closures will occur from 10 pm to 6 am on U.S. 278/William Hilton Parkway between Salt Marsh Drive at Moss Creek Village and the intersection of Wild Horse and Spanish Wells roads on August 27th and 28th. On the night of August 29th, flagging operations will take place from 10 pm to 6 am on Blue Heron Point Road, Spanish Wells Road, and Squire Pope Road. Please be alert to flaggers and follow all posted signage.
