Hilton Head Island Town Council Action Summaries Available on Town's Website

Summary information for actions taken by the Hilton Head Island Town Council at its meetings, including how each councilmember voted, has been added to the Agendas, Minutes and Video page of the Town's website at hiltonheadislandsc.gov. Action summaries are available for all actions taken at meetings beginning January 2023.

As part of its commitment to enhance transparency, the Town Council requested that an action summary for each of its meetings be created and published. Acting on that direction, Town staff created a report that provides information about:

• The agenda item language or motion.
• Who made the motion to act.
• Who seconded the motion.
• The outcome of the vote.
• How each councilmember voted.

Moving forward, an action summary will be posted within 24 hours of each Town Council or Town Council committee meeting where action is taken.

"This council is committed to serving our community effectively and transparently. Providing clear, concise information on actions we take, including where each of us landed on the vote, is essential to maintaining the trust placed in us by our constituents," said Mayor Alan Perry.

Action summaries may be accessed on the Town's website via the Agendas, Minutes and Video page, or on the individual committee and Town Council agenda pages at hiltonheadislandsc.gov.
