Town of Hilton Head Island Administrative Offices to be Closed Thursday and Friday

For Hurricane Ian Status, Stay Up to Date Through Official Government Sources

The Town of Hilton Head Island Administrative Offices will be closed Thursday, September 29, and Friday, September 30, due to impending weather associated with Hurricane Ian. Emergency services will remain available and operational.

As storm weather moves toward our area, the Town of Hilton Head Island Emergency Management will communicate information about Hurricane Ian’s track to residents and guests through:

Meeting Postponement
The Accommodations Tax Advisory Committee regular meeting scheduled for 9 am, September 29, 2022, has been postponed due to potential weather impacts in our area.

Beaufort County Convenience Center
The Beaufort County Convenience Center on Summit Drive will be closed Thursday and Friday. Depending on weather and safety issues, it's anticipated that the center will be open on Saturday. However, if it not safe to do so, an announcement will be posted. 

Beaufort County School District
Due to the forecasted inclement weather associated with Hurricane Ian, the Beaufort County School District will have eLearning and remote workdays on Thursday, September 29 and Friday, September 30 (assuming electrical and internet utilities are functioning). District buildings will be closed on both days. Extracurricular activities and afterschool programs scheduled for Thursday, September 29 and Friday, September 30 are cancelled.
