Melinda Tunner, Town Council Member

Mrs. Tunner made Hilton Head Island her home seven years ago. Before relocating, she lived in Chicago, where she raised a family and held significant roles, including Corporate Officer and Controller at Allstate Insurance, a Fortune 100 company.

On Hilton Head Island, Mrs. Tunner has been an engaged leader within her community. At Palmetto Hall, she served on the Owner's Association Board, first as Treasurer and later as President. Her commitment to service extends to her faith and philanthropy as an active member of St. Andrew By-The-Sea United Methodist Church and a mentor with "Women Within," an international women's empowerment organization. Her civic contributions include four years of service on the Beaufort County Board of Voter Registration and Elections as a Poll Clerk.

Mrs. Tunner graduated from Ohio University with a bachelor's degree in business economics. She and her husband, Mike, are proud parents of two adult sons and grandparents to three. She enjoys outdoor adventures, traveling, cooking, playing golf, mahjong, cards, and spending time with family in her free time.
