Steve DeSimone, Town Council Member

Steve DeSimone has been a local resident since 1986. A graduate of the University of Kentucky with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, he moved to Hilton Head Island to join the newly established town government as an assistant engineer.

After leaving the Town to pursue other opportunities, Mr. DeSimone continued his involvement in local government. From 1996 to 2002, he served on the Hilton Head Island Town Council, where he was involved in key decisions for improving local infrastructure and championing initiatives to enhance residents' quality of life. More recently, he contributed his expertise as a member of the Town's Board of Zoning Appeals.

A local businessman, Mr. DeSimone owns a multi-faceted construction company specializing in land and marine projects. He and his wife, Tracy, have raised three daughters on Hilton Head Island. He is an active member of Holy Family Catholic Church and dedicated 10 years to coaching volleyball at Hilton Head Christian Academy. Flying and racing are among his hobbies.
