The Town is bringing back its 15th annual Grinding of the Greens, making it simple to recycle your natural Christmas trees and wreaths after the holidays.
Tree Recycling Recycling services for trees will be available 24/7 at the following drop-off locations from Friday, Dec. 26, 2025, through Thursday, Jan. 8, 2026. Please remove all ornaments and other decorations from trees and wreaths.
• Coligny Beach (Big Parking Lot) - paved area on the South Forest Beach Side • Old Gullah Flea Market Site - William Hilton Parkway and Chamberlain Drive
Holiday Lights Recycling String lights only may be dropped off now through Jan. 11, 2026, at:
• Coligny Beach (Big Parking Lot) - paved area on the South Forest Beach Side • Beaufort County Convenience Center, 26 Summit Drive
To reduce contamination, ornaments, garland or other decoration will not be accepted.
