Beach Renourishment Project Update 7 - Fish Haul Beach Renourishment Complete

Here are the latest updates on Phase I of our beach renourishment project at Fish Haul Beach and Pine Island!

This Week's Progress (September 13-19)

• The Marinex Construction crew finished pumping sand onto Fish Haul Beach, adding 56,000 cubic yards of new sand to the shoreline. Check out some of the work on our Flickr page!
• All equipment is scheduled to be removed from the beach by the end of the weekend.
• Fish Haul Beach Park is currently closed but will reopen to the public on Monday, September 22, 2025. 
• Marinex crews are continuing to install pipes between the Baypoint Shoals sand source and Pine Island - the next location for renourishment.

Looking Ahead (September 20-26)

• The Marinex crew plans to begin pumping sand onto Pine Island Beach during the week of September 21, 2025. Work is expected to take about two weeks to complete.
• Once the new sand has settled at Fish Haul Beach and Pine Island, crews will be back on the morning of October 7 to till the new sand. The beaches will remain open while this final touch is completed.
