Beach Renourishment Project Update 5 - Fish Haul Beach

We’re excited to share the latest updates on Phase I of our beach renourishment project at Fish Haul Beach! Here’s a look at what’s been completed this week and what’s ahead.

This Week’s Progress (August 30 - September 5, 2025)

The Marinex Construction team installed nearly 14,000 feet of pipeline for the renourishment construction process. In total, about 20,000 feet of pipe — stretching nearly four miles — will be used to transport sand from Bay Point Shoals to the shoreline at Fish Haul Creek.

What’s Ahead Next Week (September 6 - 12, 2025)

• Fish Haul Creek Work: Marinex plans to finish installing pipes on September 6 and start the initial phase of pumping sand, provided weather and equipment conditions remain favorable.
  
  Please note: When sand pumping starts, only the active construction area on the beach will be closed. The rest of the beach will remain open for public use. Fencing will be placed around work areas and staff will be on-site to safely manage beach access.
• Pine Island Work: The Marinex team also plans to start mobilizing equipment at Pine Island, where they will place sand following their work at Fish Haul.
