Hilton Head Island Tees Up for the 57th Annual RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing

April 14, 2025

Hilton Head Island is geared up for this week’s 57th annual RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing golf tournament, which kicks-off on Tuesday at the famed Harbor Town Golf Links. This beloved PGA TOUR tradition for the Island runs through Sunday, April 20, overlapping the Easter holiday weekend and bringing golfers, fans and visitors from all over the world.

This year’s highly anticipated tournament will feature the top players on the PGA TOUR, including defending champion Scottie Scheffler, all vying for a share of the $20 million purse.

"The RBC Heritage is Hilton Head Island’s premier event, and it truly puts our Island in the spotlight all week long. We are proud to welcome amazing golfers including returning champ Scottie Scheffler. Also, we give a big shout-out to our wonderful volunteers who dedicate their time to help the event run smoothly and to the fans who travel here to witness this spectacular tournament," said Hilton Head Island Mayor Alan Perry.

To mark the occasion, the Town has spruced up the Island with welcoming banners, vibrant landscaping and beautification efforts from the bridge to Sea Pines Circle, showcasing the Island’s beauty and infusing excitement.

"We are thrilled to celebrate another year of the RBC Heritage golf tournament," said Town Manager Marc Orlando. "The tournament continues to have a positive impact on our economy – from supporting jobs to boosting small businesses. Beyond that, it is a treasured community tradition - a time when families and friends come together to create lasting memories, show out in their best plaid style, and enjoy the natural beauty of the course."

Each year, the RBC Heritage pumps more than $134.9 million into the South Carolina economy, with a focus of $56.9 million being distributed to those in need throughout South Carolina and Georgia since 1987. Last year, more than $3.9 million was distributed to local charitable organizations for children, education, the environment, the arts, medical institutions, and college scholarships.

As the 2025 field of players take to the course, we wish them the best of luck and great shots. Keep it in the fairway, go low. Happy RBC Heritage from the Town of Hilton Head Island!
