The Town of Hilton Head Island invites residents of the Muddy Creek neighborhood to participate in a special community event aimed at fostering connection, sharing updates, and gathering valuable input from the community.
This Neighborhood Gathering & Cookout will be held on Thursday, September 12, from 5 to 7 pm. at 30 Bryant Road.
“The Muddy Creek Neighborhood has a rich Island history, and there is a lot of work to be done to address the unique infrastructure needs of this area. Engaging with the community to learn about their needs and informing them about Town initiatives and resources is where it all starts,” said Town Manager Marc Orlando. "We are committed to aligning our Strategic Action Plan with the community’s needs to help preserve its character while enhancing its amenities."
During the event, residents will have the chance to meet with Town staff from several departments, including Planning, Engineering, Fire Rescue, Public Safety, Administration, and the Gullah Geechee Community Development Corporation. These staff members will provide information on a variety of ongoing projects and initiatives, including:
This event is a valuable opportunity for residents to engage directly with Town staff, learn about important initiatives, and share their input on the future of their community. The Town will use input from residents to create plans to enhance the neighborhood.
