Hilton Head Island Town Budget for Fiscal Year 2025 to be Presented on Tuesday, May 7

The Town Council of Hilton Head Island will consider the first reading of its proposed consolidated fiscal year (FY) 2025 budget at its Town Council meeting at 3 p.m., Tuesday, May 7.

During this meeting, Hilton Head Island Town Manager Marc Orlando will deliver an overview of the recommended consolidated budget to the Town Council and the public. The presentation begins the Town's public budget review process. Subsequently, following the Town Council meeting, the executive summary of the proposed consolidated budget and the budget presentation will be accessible on the Town's website at hiltonheadislandsc.gov/finance.

"I look forward to presenting this year's budget, especially because of its continued focus on key initiatives within our adopted Strategic Action Plan. This budget allocates resources towards the Town Council's strategic initiatives and the Town’s day-to-day operations," Orlando said.

The public will have four opportunities to acquaint themselves with and provide feedback on the proposed budget. These opportunities are scheduled for:

• Tuesday, May 7 at 3 pm - Public hearing and first reading
• Tuesday, May 14 at 1 pm - Budget workshop
• Thursday, May 16 at 1 pm - Budget workshop for capital improvement projects (CIP)
• Tuesday, June 4 at 3 pm - Second public hearing and second and final reading

The public can also view the budget sessions on the Town's YouTube Channel and the Beaufort County Channel. Citizens who wish to address the Town Council about the budget during the May 7 meeting must contact the Town Clerk at 843-341-4701 by noon on Tuesday, May 7.
