Driessen Beach Park to Get a New Boardwalk

Work begins November 20

Construction work on a new boardwalk at the Driessen Beach Park at 64 Bradley Beach Road will begin on Monday, November 20, 2023.

During the construction period, the Driessen Beach Park will be closed and unavailable for parking or beach access. This project is part of the Town of Hilton Head Island’s Capital Improvement Program and involves the demolition and replacement of the boardwalk that stretches from the park to the beach. The Town anticipates completing the project by March 1, 2024.

While Driessen Beach Park is closed, beachgoers are encouraged to visit and enjoy other Town beach parks, including:

• Alder Lane Beach Access, 2 Woodward Avenue
• Burkes Beach Access, 60 Burkes Beach Road
• Coligny Beach Park, 1 Coligny Circle
• Folly Field Beach Park, 55 Starfish Drive
• Fish Haul Beach Park, 124 Mitchelville Road
• Islanders Beach Park, 94 Folly Field Road
