Resurfacing Work on Courts at Old Schoolhouse Park Starts Monday, September 18

September 12, 2023

The Town of Hilton Head Island will begin resurfacing work on the tennis and pickleball courts at Old Schoolhouse Park, located at 152 William Hilton Parkway, on Monday, September 18.

The work will include the resurfacing of the existing courts and transforming them into six dedicated pickleball courts. This involves installing new internal fencing and nets to enhance the playing experience for pickleball enthusiasts.  While resurfacing work is underway, Old Schoolhouse Park will be closed temporarily. The town anticipates reopening the park with upgraded pickleball courts on Monday, October 30.

Pickleball players are encouraged to use other public pickleball courts on the island for this recreational sport:

The resurfacing project is part of the Town's Capital Improvement Program, which includes plans for enhancing parks across the Island.
