Town Administrative Offices Closed for Veterans Day Holiday

Public Invited to Veterans Day Ceremony

November 8, 2022

In observance of Veterans Day, the Town of Hilton Head Island administrative offices will be closed Friday, November 11.

Also, the Beaufort County Convenience Center, 26 Summit Road on Hilton Head Island, will be closed on Friday, November 11, and return to normal operating hours on Saturday, November 12. Town emergency services and the Hilton Head Island Airport will remain available and operational during the holiday.

Veterans Day Remembrance Ceremony

The American Legion Alexander Wattay Post 185 and the Military Veterans Coalition of Hilton Head Island invite the public to their 2022 Veterans Day Remembrance Ceremony. It will be held 10:30 to 11:30 am on Friday, November 11, at St. Andrew By-The-Sea United Methodist Church, 20 Pope Avenue, Hilton Head Island. Doors will open at 9 am. The keynote speaker is Joe McNamara, a former U.S. Marine Corps officer. He serves on the Board of Directors of Operation Patriots FOB in Ridgeland. This event is free.
