Free COVID-19 Testing on Hilton Head Island Ends Monday, March 7

March 4, 2022

Monday, March 7, is the last day free COVID-19 testing will be offered at Chaplin Community Park, 11 Castnet Drive. BrightStar Care will administer drive-thru testing from 9 am to 3:30 pm.

Those interested in being tested should enter Chaplin Community Park from Singleton Beach Road and follow signs to the test site. People are encouraged to pre-register for this PCR (nasal swab) test at https://brightstarlc.e-ppe.com. Rapid COVID-19 tests are not available at this site.

"The number of people seeking to be tested has declined significantly over the last several weeks, so providers have opted to discontinue testing operations at this time. We will continue to monitor COVID-19 cases and evaluate whether to set up testing sites in the future," said Tom Dunn, Emergency Manager for the Town of Hilton Head Island.

The Town worked with the BrightStar Care and the SC Department of Health and Environmental Control (SCDHEC) to set up testing operations at Chaplin Community Park and Crossings Park.  SCDHEC ended its testing operations earlier this week.
