COVID-19 Testing Canceled for Friday and Saturday at Chaplin Community Park

January 19, 2022

Due to scattered and freezing rain predicted for this weekend, BrightStar Care is canceling COVID-19 testing for Friday, January 21, and Saturday, January 22 at Chaplin Community Park.

The National Weather Service has projected a high possibility of wintery weather in the area from Friday into Saturday. With that forecast, COVID-19 testing site organizers have decided to shut down testing operations for the safety of staff and the public.

However, BrightStar Care will host drive-thru testing from 9 am to 3:30 pm on Sunday, January 23, at Chaplin Community Park, 11 Castnet Drive. After Sunday, it will resume its regular testing schedule of 9 am to 3:30 pm, Tuesday through Saturday. Those interested in being tested should enter Chaplin Community Park from Singleton Beach Road and follow signs to the test site.

To help expedite testing and help with traffic flow, people are encouraged to pre-register for testing  at https://patientxchange.io/patientmanagement?testguid=7D9B106589F049B. Test results will be available from the test provider within 48 to 72 hours. Results for tests completed on Saturdays may take longer to receive.  Anyone under 18 years of age should bring their parent or legal guardian. They will need to give their consent before children can be tested.
