Demolition of the former Kingfisher Restaurant building at 18 Harborside Lane in the Shelter Cove Marina area is scheduled to start on Monday, November 1.
The Town purchased the 1.5-acre tract of property in September 2020 for the purpose of removing the existing structure to enhance open space and provide greater pathway connectivity. Future uses of the property may involve parking improvements or other opportunities that are consistent with the Town's comprehensive plan. Work will be underway from 7 am to 7 pm Monday through Friday and is expected to be completed by the end of November.
The construction area is restricted to authorized personnel. Pedestrians are advised to exercise caution and remain clear of the construction area when accessing the nearby pathway.
