Town of Hilton Head Island Launches New, Refreshed Website

The Town of Hilton Head Island announces the launch of its refreshed and user-friendly website, www.hiltonheadislandsc.gov. The new website makes it easier for residents and visitors to access services, find information and engage with local government.

"We are excited to unveil our website, which is our front-door online. Nearly 250,000 people access it monthly. We want our residents, businesses and visitors to have the best experience possible when engaging with the Town online," said Marc Orlando, Town Manager. "Having an improved website reflects our commitment to keeping our community informed."

The website redesign features a more modern appearance, easier navigation, refreshed content and improved functionality. The website is also designed to be responsive so that is easy to view on any type of device, including smartphones and tablets.

Other improved features and functions are:

• A clean homepage with features and buttons to allow users to quickly access news, meetings and other information.
• An open data portal featuring interactive maps, dashboards and data to help people learn about community development, town projects, parks, recreation, transportation and other topics.
• A new citizen self-service portal for submitting and tracking requests for building permits.
• Pages with organized sets of topics and icons to help visitors readily find the information they are seeking.
• Rotating images that show beautiful scenes from around the Island. Each time you visit hiltonheadislandsc.gov, you will be greeted with a new image on the home page and on other pages throughout the website.

Website visitors still have the ability to subscribe to email notifications for news, meetings and notices, emergency alerts and other town information. We encourage the community to explore the site and share feedback at communications@hiltonheadislandsc.gov.
