The SC Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC), the Town of Hilton Head Island Fire Rescue, and BusinessATTRACT community volunteers have partnered to offer a COVID-19 Community Vaccine Clinic on Thursday, May 13.
The clinic will be held from 10 am to 2 pm at Christ Lutheran Church, 829 William Hilton Parkway. Individuals may register to receive a free vaccine at scdhec.gov/vaxlocator. The clinic will be offering the Moderna vaccine, which is authorized for those who are 18 and older.
"We encourage all to get the vaccine. It saves lives! We are working to help move the vaccinations into the community in an effort to protect the herd. None of us are safe, until the vast majority of us are vaccinated," said Carlton B. Dallas, one of the clinic's organizer.
For more information, call DHEC's COVID-19 Vaccine Information Line at 1-866-365-8110.
