Glenn Stanford, Town Council Member

Mr. Stanford has served as a member of Town Council since 2019. He practiced law for over 40 years in Atlanta. He graduated with a BA from the University of Georgia and doctor of law from Emory University.

After retiring, Mr. Stanford and his wife Cyndy moved to Hilton Head Island in 2006. He has served on the Town's Board of Zoning Appeals and Planning Commission, the Southern Beaufort County Corridor Beautification Board and the Greater Island Council.

Mr. Stanford also worked with the Beaufort County Rural and Critical Lands Program. He is a member of the Hilton Head Island Rotary Club and the Country Club of Hilton Head. He is a retired JAG officer from the U.S. Navy, and enjoys golf, cooking, gardening, and woodworking.
