Sewer Connection Program

Thank you for your interest in the Town of Hilton Head Island's Sewer Connection Program. At this time, we're pausing the acceptance of new applications while we assess current needs and resources. We appreciate your patience and understanding. In the meantime, we are pleased to share an update about the grant program that helped income-qualified Hilton Head Island homeowners and renters connect their single-family homes to public sewer.

With funding from the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, a federal government initiative aimed at addressing the adverse effects of COVID-19 — including housing, rent and utility issues, and food insecurity — we spent $369,417 to connect 35 households to sewer. There is one additional connection under contract.
