Draft Marshes District

Jarvis Creek bounds the Marshes District to the north and Broad Creek to the south. It includes neighborhoods along Spanish Wells Road and Marshland Road.

The Marshes District is a unique area of Hilton Head Island, blending some of the Island's oldest historic communities with more recent residential developments. Located around the Cross Island Expressway, this district includes neighborhoods such as Jonesville, Jarvis, Old House Creek, Gardner, and Spanish Wells. While primarily residential, the district features a handful of long-standing restaurants, churches, and marsh-oriented businesses that contribute to its charm.
