The Town Council of Hilton Head Island has requested that S.C. Governor Henry McMaster order a shelter-at-home requirement for South Carolina.
A uniform standard order for the State would be best. But, if he does not honor that request and there is still a need to address the potential impact of this crisis locally, the Town Council is positioned to enact its own stay at home order similar to what has been done in the cities of Charleston, S.C., and Savannah, GA.
