The South Carolina Department of Transportation has scheduled work to install new traffic counting equipment on US 278, William Hilton Parkway, on Jenkins Island just east of Harbour Passage Drive, the entrance to the Windmill Harbour Community. The work will require lane closures in both directions of travel that are planned to occur beginning at 10:00 p.m. each night from Monday, February 12th, 2018 through Thursday, February 15th, and again on Monday and Tuesday night, February 19th and February 20th. All lanes will be reopened to travel no later than 6:00 a.m. the following morning each of the six nights. The lane closures will be periodically moved from lane to lane in both directions of travel over the course of the work.

Motorists are asked to be alert for the traffic control associated with the lane closures and construction activity and to exercise caution by reducing their speed in order to ensure a safe  environment for construction personnel within the work zone.
