The Town has spent in excess of $51 million on the hurricane response to date, with a total potential cost could be in excess of $66 million. The Town has worked closely with FEMA and the State since the hurricane to secure reimbursements where eligible. Current plans for the Town include $38 million in expected eventual federal and $12 million in state reimbursements.

The Town has used its disaster and other reserves along with a $20 million short-term note to finance the response efforts.

The Town will continue to provide documentation and information to FEMA and the State as the reimbursement requests work their way through the federal and state approval process.
