There will be temporary lane closures on westbound (off island) U.S. 278 (Bus.) in the vicinity of Kroger from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Sunday, May 3.

These closures are to allow for the trimming of low hanging tree limbs over the roadway. The trimming is needed to provide adequate sight lines for drivers to see the new traffic signal being installed.

Traffic will be controlled through the work zone via signs, traffic control devices and flaggers. Please be prepared to stop and use caution when traveling in this area. Motorists heading off Island during this timeframe may wish to use Shelter Cove Lane to bypass this work zone.
