The Town has entered into an agreement with Quality Enterprises USA, Inc. to construct roadway and drainage improvements along the existing extents of Lemoyne Avenue. Construction has begun and the project deadline for substantial completion is May 24, but this could be extended if unforeseen changes to the work warrant more time. The project will NOT extend the length of the roadway or connect it to Cordillo Parkway. The project includes improvements to the storm drainage infrastructure system to collect and convey local storm water runoff. The paved roadway will not only be repaired, milled, and resurfaced, but will also be re-aligned and widened where necessary. The new roadway width shall include paved safety shoulders. Some driveways will be modified for improved alignment where they connect to Lemoyne Avenue. Landscaping will be installed near the end of the project.
Although we have coordinated with the utility companies, there may temporary interruptions to utility service. Where these are known and planned for, the utility company should notify customers in advance. Throughout the project, traffic will be controlled by the contractor via traffic control devices, signs and flaggers. Please use extra caution when travelling on Lemoyne Avenue and obey the signs and flaggers. If you have any questions, please contact Jeff Buckalew at firstname.lastname@example.org or 843-341-4772.
