Two-Year Beach Parking Passes

A Town of Hilton Head Island Beach parking pass is valid from January 1, 2016 through December 31, 2017 at Town of Hilton Head Island Beach Parking Lots only.

Beach passes may be purchased Monday thru Friday 8:00 - 4:30 at:

  • Town Hall - One Town Center Court
  • Facilities Management - 12A Gateway Circle

To qualify to purchase a beach pass you must live or own property within Town limits.

Completed beach pass applications and required documentation may be hand delivered to one of the locations listed above or mailed with a check or money order (no cash) for $30.00 made payable to: Town of Hilton Head Island, One Town Center Court, Hilton Head Island, SC 29928.

The following documentation is required to receive a beach pass: drivers license, vehicle registration and proof of property ownership or residency. Please note: Driver's License may serve as proof of residency if address shown is within Town limits.

Beach Park Hours:
March - November 6am-9pm
November - February 6am-6pm
Coligny Beach Park is open 24 hours(Restrooms are open during regular beach park hours.)

Portions of Islanders' Beach Park will be closed to vehicular traffic and parking effective immediately and is expected to remain in place for the duration of the beach renourishment project. The partial restriction is required to facilitate the truck delivery of beach renourishment pipeline. Only those vehicles with a Town issued parking pass are authorized to park in the remaining available spaces. Alternative nearby beach access and parking is available at Folly Field and Driessen Beach Parks, and the Burkes Beach Road access.

Annual parking pass holders may use the reserved spaces at Driessen Beach Park without further fees. If all reserved spaces are filled at Islanders' Beach Park, annual parking pass holders will be directed where to park by calling 843-342-4580 (Monday-Friday). Beginning June 1, 2016 the Town's Mitchelville Beach Park will be closed to public access. The closure is required in order to safely implement the Mitchelville/Fish Haul portion of the Town's Beach Renourishment Project. Pipeline and equipment will be delivered to and from the beach via park. The closure is expected to remain in place for up to 3 weeks and the park will be reopened when it is safe to do so. A Beach parking pass is valid for reserved parking only. Reserved parking for beach pass is available at the following locations: 135 spaces at Islanders Beach Park with 25 additional metered spaces that beach pass holders are authorized to use at no additional cost on a first come first serve basis and 30 spaces at Driessen Beach Park. Annual pass holders will be directed where to park if all reserved spaces are filled by calling 843-342-4580 Monday - Friday. On weekends and holidays please call 843-342-4586. There is no charge for parking at Coligny Beach Park.

Parking is reserved at Islanders Beach Park reserved lot at all times. Parking is reserved at Driessen parking lot from 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. however, annual pass holders may continue to use them without further fees.

A temporary beach pass may be available for leased or rental cars for current beach pass holders who have flown into the area or their registered vehicle is under repair. Please call (843)342-4580 for details.

No vehicles with beach parking passes will be permitted to park in metered spaces at Folly Field, Burkes Beach or Alder Lane, unless otherwise directed by a Town of Hilton Head Island representative. Residents who wish to park in these metered spaces will be required to pay the normal rates.


The beach parking pass is only authorized for the vehicle for which it is issued. Transfer of the decal to another vehicle invalidates the pass and subjects the decal to removal by a Town of Hilton Head Island representative.

When purchasing a new vehicle or replacement of a bumper, remove the current pass from the bumper and return it to Falities Management, 12A Gateway Circle or One Town Center Court, for a replacement pass at no charge. Failure to follow these procedures will result in the need to purchase a new pass for $30.00.

The beach parking pass must be placed on the driver side rear bumper. The Beach Pass must be affixed by the adhesive on the sticker, otherwise it is invalid. If instructions are not followed, the beach pass will be removed and you are subject to a parking citation.

Please do not tape beach pass to the window or bumper.
