Disaster Debris Operations & Drop Off Center Locations Closing

This weekend March 24-26, will be the last three days that citizens may drop off residential disaster debris at the South Forest Beach Coligny beach parking site and the Chamberlin Drive (old Gullah Flea Market) site. Effective Monday, March 27th the residential disaster debris drop-off sites at 1 South Forest Beach Dr. (Coligny Beach Parking) and 120 William Hilton Parkway (Former Gullah Flea Market Site) will be closed. Only the drop-off center located at 111 Leg O' Mutton Road will remain open. Hours of operation at this site will be 8:00am to 5:30pm three (3) days per week (Friday, Saturday and Sunday).

The final pass for disaster debris right of way collection started on February 27th. All remaining disaster related debris was to be placed on approved Rights-of-Way by this date. At this time, the Town's contractor has conducted the final pass and completed all work in the following areas: Ashton Cove, Bermuda Pointe, Oakview (excluding Oakview Road), Timbercrest, Port Royal Plantation, Spanish Wells Plantation, Wexford, Indigo Run, Shipyard, Palmetto Hall, Sea Pines, Hilton Head Plantation, Palmetto Dunes, Leamington, Long Cove, Shelter Cove and Yacht Cove. Our contractor will not be returning to the above mentioned areas. A map of all roadways that have received a final pass pick up is available on the Town's website at:

The deadline for the placement of any new debris within any right of way has passed. All remaining eligible disaster related debris must be taken to drop off centers. If you have any questions on debris, please contact the debris hotline at 843-384-3616. Thank you for your cooperation.
