Fire Rescue responded to a total of 52 calls related to Hermine. The calls are from 7:00 a.m. on September 2, 2016 through 8:30 a.m. September 3, 2016. The calls consisted of the following:
No injuries were reported from any of the incidents.
The Red Cross was requested to assist families living in homes with damage caused by falling trees. Each family received financial assistance for lodging. They assisted at one home with 4 adults and 3 children and 2 adults at the other home.
The Town has set up additional dates for yard waste burning due to the storm for Wednesday 9/7, Saturday 9/10 and Sunday 9/11 in addition to the regularly scheduled burn dates of Saturday 9/17 & Sunday 9/18. You must have or obtain a burn permit prior to burning yard waste and register your burn on the day of burning.
