As a result of the forecast track of Tropical Depression #9, the Town's contractor Weeks Marine Inc., will suspend beach fill operations on Wednesday August 31, 2016 and begin their preparations for the deteriorating weather conditions associated with the advancing storm. It is expected that the dredge CR McCaskill and its supporting booster pump will be taken off station and towed inshore to sheltered waters. The shore pipe currently assembled on the beach will be broken down and consolidated near North Forest Beach. Some equipment and supporting material may be relocated to the Town’s Collier Beach Property.
