The Town of Hilton Head Island announces its new E-subscription Service which enables the public to subscribe to topics of interest online and receive e-mail notifications when information is updated or added. Additionally, by subscribing to "Emergency Alerts," subscribers can receive instant notifications by email or text message in emergency situations affecting the Town.
Signing up is free and easy on the Town’s website at www.hiltonheadislandsc.gov. The service is customized by each subscriber, who chooses from a list of available topics based upon their personal areas of interest and the frequency that they would like to receive the updates. Among these topics are Press Releases, Meeting Agendas, Newsletters, Employment Opportunities; and a particularly timely topic is Hurricane Season Information. Once registered, participants will immediately begin to receive notifications anytime one of their choices is updated or has new information posted.
The only information required to register is an e-mail address, and participants can change their subscription details or cancel the service at any time.
Utilizing the E-Subscription service will be a great way to stay informed, and the Town encourages all residents, businesses, and other interested individuals and organizations to take advantage of it.
