The Town's project to construct a right turn lane on Main Street and install improved drainage at the subject intersection is progressing nicely. Beginning at 7:00 a.m. tomorrow, Friday, June 14th, the Town's contractor will begin demolishing the existing curbing and removing drainage structures to facilitate the widening of Main Street adjacent to Hospital Center Boulevard. This will result in the need to reduce Main Street to a single lane of travel next to Hospital Center Boulevard between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. tomorrow. Flagging personnel will direct motorists passing between the two streets past the work zone in alternating directions of travel.
Motorists are asked to expect delays when passing between Hospital Center Boulevard and Main Street in either direction tomorrow, to use caution in the vicinity of the work zone, and to avoid the area entirely in lieu of alternate routes where possible.
