The Department of Public Projects and Facilities manages the Town's Capital Improvement Program for roads, beach facilities, pathways, and beach renourishment and provides administrative leadership, supervision, support, and direction to the Facilities Management and Engineering Divisions.
The Engineering Division for the Town provides general oversight and project management for design and construction of secondary road and drainage improvements; reviews and approves all plans for development to ensure compliance with the Stormwater Management Standards of the Land Management Ordinance; conducts field inspections of completed projects and issues certificates of compliance for same. Other services offered by the Engineering Division include the maintenance of Town-owned roads, street signs and mile markers.
The Town's Facilities Management Division operates and maintains Town-owned beach parks, beach accesses, pathways, highway medians, transfer stations, buildings and grounds. Other services offered by Facilities Management include management of beach parking passes and boat permits and parking enforcement for Town-owned properties.
