  • On October 16, 2017 the President approved the Governor's request to declare several South Carolina counties, including Beaufort County, as a disaster area due to Hurricane Irma. The Town has submitted a Request for Public Assistance in accordance with the process outlined by FEMA and SCEMD. Town staff is in the process of evaluating storm damage to Town property including storm damage to the beach to determine the appropriate request for reimbursement.
